Learning Objectives
This immersive learning experience introduces students to the wonders of astronomy, encouraging them to observe and understand the universe, stars, planets, and celestial phenomena. Through interactive sessions and real-time stargazing, students will gain insights into celestial science, the movement of heavenly bodies, and the historical evolution of astronomy.

Activities

▪ Celestial Science & Sky Orientation Session
Students will learn the basic principles of astronomy, including the formation of stars and planets, orbital mechanics, and the nature of constellations. Understand the Earth’s place in the solar system and how celestial movements influence time and seasons.

▪ Stargazing with Telescopes
A guided stargazing session using telescopes under a clear night sky. Learn how to identify key constellations, planets, the Moon's features, and possibly even nebulae or galaxies. Includes a demonstration on how telescopes work.

▪ Constellation Mapping & Storytelling
Explore the mythology and cultural stories behind constellations across different civilizations—Greek, Indian, Chinese. Students will participate in constellation-spotting activities and map the night sky.

▪ Hands-on Astronomy Activities
Build simple models of the solar system, experiment with shadow clocks to understand sundials, and simulate planetary orbits to grasp gravitational forces and planetary motion.

▪ History of Astronomy – Then to Now
Trace the timeline of astronomy from ancient skywatchers and Indian astronomers like Aryabhata to modern space exploration. Learn how early astronomy shaped navigation, calendars, and science.

Outcome
