Activities

▪ Heritage Tour of Colombo with Galle Fort & Independence Memorial Square
Students begin with a guided exploration of Colombo’s historic landmarks and the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, reflecting Sri Lanka’s colonial past, multicultural society, and architectural legacy. The Independence Memorial Square deepens their understanding of the nation’s path to sovereignty.

▪ Yala National Park Safari – Conservation & Biodiversity
An unforgettable wildlife safari through Sri Lanka’s most famous national park, where students spot animals like leopards, elephants, and crocodiles, while learning about habitat conservation, wildlife protection laws, and sustainable ecotourism.

▪ Wood Carving Handicraft Masterclass
A hands-on workshop where students discover the traditional art of wood carving, understand symbolic motifs, and experience how local artisans preserve heritage through handmade craftsmanship.

▪ Tea Plantation Visit & Plucking Experience
An immersive tour through Sri Lanka’s lush hill country teaches students about the journey of tea—from plucking leaves to processing in the factory. This activity highlights agricultural practices, export industries, and the importance of manual labor in rural economies.

▪ MD Fruit Cordial & Jam Factory Tour
Students explore the food processing industry, understanding how fruits are turned into preserves, jams, and beverages. The tour introduces them to packaging, hygiene standards, and quality control in a live production environment.
